Film V/H/S/2 (2013) - V/H/S/2 (originally titled S-VHS) is a 2013 Indonesian-American anthology horror film. It features a series of found-footage shorts. It is the sequel to the film V/H/S. The sequel involves a largely different group of directors: Jason Eisener, Gareth Evans, Timo Tjahjanto, Eduardo Sánchez, and Gregg Hale, and franchise returnees Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard. The film is presented as an anthology of short horror films, built into a frame narrative which acts as its own short horror film. Each short film is linked together with the concept of found footage (each scene is from the VHS tapes found in the first film).
This story begins with Larry, a private investigator, secretly following a man to a motel and capturing footage of him having an affair with an attractive blonde woman. After accidentally startling a maid, who assumes him to be a voyeur, Larry is forced to flee in his car when the man chases him outside the motel. Later, Larry and his girlfriend Ayesha, also a private investigator, are asked to investigate the disappearance of a young male college student by the student's mother.
Upon travelling to the student's home and breaking in through a back window, they discover a large stack of TV sets, VCRs, and VHS tapes in the living-room, and a laptop with a still-recording video on it. They stop the recording and go to the beginning, where they see the boy talking about how strange the VHS tapes are. Larry tells Ayesha to watch the tapes while he investigates the house; he searches the student's bedroom, discovering more stacks of tapes and a series of notebooks which he looks through.
