Film Zombie Night (2013) - Zombies come out at night and two families must survive until morning.Where has this little gem of a zombie movie been hiding? This is a diamond in the rough. True the editing drove me bananas and the acting is sometimes a bit stiff, but The zombie grit is alive in this film. Storyline is World War III breaks out and the aftermath is zombies. Alot is inferred so you have to pay attention to the storyline and character development. It is a survivor movie, with great effects, blood, gore, head shots. Makeup is really good, I was impressed.
Background sounds and music was creepy and very "zombie-like". Toss in a little tension in the form of a regular guy being a complete asshole and no help to the survivors yet they have to deal with this nut, is a great idea. Lots of actors great mix to them, its just they show up in the next edit-cut and they don't get much time to develop. Dialogue and Canadian accents very enjoyable.
The survivors keep on keeping on and the zombies in all their glory keep on arriving ,staggering and eating. These zombies "sleep" during the day (which I think added to the atmosphere) and it was very relevant to the survivors time table. I like this movie enough to own it. Zombie Night has me in its peculiar zombie charm.
